Homeless
Employment is a critical pathway out of homelessness.
Yet people who are homeless lack the resources they need to find work. They become homeless, or are at risk of doing so, for a myriad of reasons, such as mental illness, drug and alcohol abuse, unemployment and family breakdown.
Jobs Statewide works alongside a number of service providers to address some of these issues and provide the support that can get people back into a more stable, healthy environment.
It then establishes an individual training or work experience program, with the ultimate goal of getting people into work and staying there.
